Services and Pricing
Companies who fall under construction and who would like to transfer over to FEM will be transferred at no cost to the company. CPS has been appointed to facilitate the transfer on behalf of FEM. Our consultants will guide you through the process.
A retainer qualifies a company for limited free underwriting services which include the completion of the Return of Earnings and Issuing of a Letter of Good Standing only. All other Underwriting services will be charged at the individual rates stated above.
All retainers are signed for a minimum of 12 months which will be renewed in month 11 unless cancelled by either party.The following table shows the pricing structure for the retainers.
FEM Transfer and New Business Registration Process
In order to transfer through to FEM, companies are required to be in good standing with the Compensation Fund. This would mean that there should not be any outstanding monies owed to the fund, for companies currently registered there. For new companies, there shoud be no open applications with the fund. CPS together with FEM will facilitate the transfer process ensuring that the companies are fully compliantelegible to transfer.
The 2 types of registrations are as follows -
1. State Transfer - These are companies who are already registered with the Compensation fund, under class 0500 (Building and Construction) and have a CF Reference number, and wish to transfer over to FEM.
2. New Business Registration - These are companies who have a CIPC registration, and wiil work in construction, but have not yet registered for Workman's Compensation. These companies have a choice to register with FEM initially.
